A concert by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra for donkey welfare

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a light classical music concert in Robertson on Sunday, September 14 at 3 pm.

The event, hosted by the Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary, is called 'Music for All' and aims to bring people together while supporting donkey welfare. All proceeds will be donated to the sanctuary,

The concert will be held at the Oos-Kerk in Robertson, which has good acoustics and clear sightlines. The programme includes Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers, Offenbach’s Can-Can, and pieces by Grieg, Rossini, and Saint-Saëns.

A medley will also honour David Kramer, patron of the sanctuary.

Tickets cost R180 for adults and R90 for students. They can be purchased online at adopt@donkeysanctuary.co.za or at the door from 2:15 pm on the day of the concert.

All proceeds go to support the Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary near McGregor.
