Hidden Giants - the live science-and-art experience - is coming to The Star Theatre in District Six from Thursday, December 11 to Sunday, December 14.

Created by physicist Dr Luca Pontiggia and composer-actuary Yasheen “Yash” Modi, Hidden Giants takes audiences on an immersive journey through the universe, blending science, storytelling, and original live music. The show explores the mystery of black holes — using real scientific imagery, cinematic visuals, and soundscapes designed to make space feel close enough to touch.

“This isn’t just a show; it’s a voyage into the universe and into ourselves,” says Dr Pontiggia. “We’ve designed it for everyone - from students and families to dreamers and explorers.”

Mr Modi adds that Hidden Giants aims to make complex science accessible and emotional. “Our goal with Universe on Stage is to present science in a way that connects both the mind and the heart.”

The show will start at 7pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday (more shows may be added).

Ticket prices range from R260 to  R540 via Webtickets

Discounted tickets are available for children under 12, students, newsletter subscribers, and groups of four or more.
