The City of Cape Town has advised Athlone residents of a planned electricity supply interruption on Wednesday, July 30, due to critical infrastructure maintenance. Work will take place from 8am to 6pm, provided all goes according to schedule.
In a statement, the City said only the areas highlighted on the official outage maps will be affected on the day.
Affected streets include Dove Street, Canary Street, Starling Street, Eagle Street, and Repulse Street.
Important reminders are that power may be restored at any time, and to treat all electrical connections should be treated as live throughout the maintenance period. Switch off appliances to prevent damage from possible power surges when electricity is restored.
The City apologises for any inconvenience and thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation, it said in the statement.
