CTIA outperformed major international hubs, ranking above a host of esteemed international airports. They successfully outperformed competitors such as Hamad International Airport in Qatar, Riyadh King Khaled International Airport in Saudi Arabia, and Brasília International Airport in Brazil.
CTIA scored 8.6 for punctuality and an impressive 8.7 for passenger experience, highlighting the airport’s commitment to operational excellence and warm hospitality.
According to AirHelp, while many airports have faced criticisms regarding their efficiency and amenities, the standout airports like CTIA provide a "refreshing experience".
"These airports, while distinct from the rest, elicit sentiments that make travellers enjoy their time spent within their walls. They make arrivals and departures feel just as thrilling as the journey itself, inspiring wanderlust and enthusiasm among global citizens," AirHelp said in a statement.
Western Cape premier Alan Winde as well as executive mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis and MMC for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos, will be at CTIA on Monday, August 18, to celebrate the award-winning excellence of Cape Town International Airport at the media lounge at Cape Town International Airport.
