I wonder if there is anybody that will agree with me but the more you pay for an item the less value you get.
Things are just getting more and more expensive by the day. Take, for instance, a can of tuna. Not so long ago, we paid less than R10 for a tin, now you’re lucky if you get it on special for R13, and it used to be 200g, now it's 170g. The 100g chocolate bar is now 80g.
You think you get a bargain when you get a block of cheese on special for R99, but then it's not 1kg but 750g. And so I can just go on and on.
It's really time that South Africa starts to produce more and import less, then we won't be so much affected by wars in other countries like it is now with the war in Ukraine.
The more money you earn nowadays, the less you can buy with it.
