Things are really getting worse by the day in our lovely country. Crime, poverty, rising food prices, corruption, load shedding... the list just goes on and on.
Now we are in for a massive petrol and diesel price increase again, and we all know that when fuel prices go up, everything else will also go up: bus fare, taxi fare and food prices.
Everything is already so expensive. I know of a small item that went up by R8 the one week, and less than a week later, it went up another R5, and that's just the one item.
Food prices rise just about every day. Even sale prices are just so expensive.
The president promised to get a commission or something to investigate the rising cost of living. We can only hope it's not just empty promises, as usual, because it's the poorest of poor that suffer the most.
