a young fellow

makes his mark

and a commentator

waxes lyrical

There is hope for the future

though many want instant

as they have been let down

for much too long

that promise

of the brighter tomorrow

the brighter tomorrow

crowds all restless

and mightily impatient

mightily impatient

with those over-paid ones

higher in the pecking order

There is hope for the future

as the youngest on the field

scores a goal for his team

in the mostly beautiful game

where grown men mostly

are not always the examples

the rest would want

but its merely football

just when you thought
