A pinch of South Africa, a teaspoon of France, a touch of Italy, a zest of Japan, all simmering in Strasbourg since 2016: these are the ingredients that make up the Quatuor Avena and its members Adam Campbell (South Africa), Nicolas Allard (France), Fabio Cesare (Italy) and Sumika Tsujimoto (Japan).
Take a trip around the globe with "Around the World in 80 Minutes", an evocative show combining music and movement, at the Endler Hall, Stellenbosch University, on Friday April 11, at 7pm.
Each stop on the journey is marked by music reminiscent of the places travelled through, either originally written or arranged for saxophone quartet, all enhanced by the choreography created with Isabelle Morane Rist.
Tickets cost R165, and R125 for pensioners, and R65 for students, and are available at WebTickets.
