The College of Magic in Imam Haron Road, Claremont, will be hosting new courses for aspiring magicians of all ages.
Free tours and workshops will take place on Saturday February 8 and on Saturday February 15, from 10.30am to 11.15am.
Courses are designed to teach not only the art of magic but also vital life skills such as confidence, creativity and communication.
Alumni include comedians Stuart Taylor and Riaad Moosa, mentalist Larry Soffer, magician Olwethu Dyantyi and ventriloquist Conrad Koch.
At the behind-the-scenes tour, you can explore their historic building and get a glimpse into the magical classrooms, performance spaces, and the rich history of The College of Magic.
At the interactive workshop, you can experience the thrill of learning your very first magic trick from expert instructors. The hands-on session is suitable for all ages and skill levels.
Spaces for the free tours and workshops are limited, so booking is essential.
The College of Magic also offers comprehensive courses, tailored to fit different age groups and levels of experience. These include:
· Course 1: A fun introduction to magic for pupils aged 10 to 14 run in 15 45-minute lessons on a Saturday morning.
· Course Magic and Showmanship: Learn how to captivate an audience and develop your stage presence as a high school pupil. These are 30 one-hour lessons on a Saturday morning.
