Drummer Kesivan Naidoo has returned from Switzerland with his brand-new Big Band experience and will perform in a concert on Friday July 7 at the Star Theatre at the Homecoming Centre in District Six, at 7.30pm. He will be joined by artists including Reza Khota on guitar, Kyle Shepherd on piano, Lee Thomson and Thabo Sikhakhane on trumpet, Julia Rueffert on trombone, as well as tenor Marc Stucki and baritone Danni McKinnon. Tickets for the Star Theatre performance are from R300 through Quicket.
In the lead up to the Big Band concert at the Star Theatre, Kesivan will be doing smaller gigs in the Cape Town city centre with musicians including Jonna Sweetman, Lee Thomson and Jason Releon at The House of Machines in Shortmarket Street on Wednesday July 5 – free entry; and The Athletic Club and Social in Buitengracht Street on Thursday July 6 – tickets cost from R200 through Quicket.
