The annual Cape Town Marimba Festival will take place on Friday May 24 at the Baxter Concert Hall, at 7.30pm.
The festival is a joint venture between the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival and Woodworx Marimbas and will see 150 pupils performing.
Marimba bands taking part are from Parklands College, Pinelands High, Cannons Creek, Forres, Micklefield, Edgemead High, Rustenburg Girls’ High, Seamount Primary, St Cyprian’s Marimba Bands, Herschel High, Bishops, Groote Schuur High, Westerford, Ned Doman High, Siyadlala Marimba Band, DSK, Wynberg Girls’ High, Reddam Constantia, SACS High, Marimba Jam Prestige Group, and Music Work.
Tickets cost R160 for adults or R100 for seniors, pupils and students through Webtickets or Pick n Pay stores.
