Bonteheuwel High marching band wins top honours

Despite a break-in at Bonteheuwel High School, where their blazers were stolen, the school’ marching band came out tops among 21 schools in the Western Cape Education Department’s (WCED) central district. The competition was a combined initiative of the Western Province Marching Association, the WCED and Safer Schools. The Bonteheuwel High team was crowned the overall winners, as well as best dressed, best exhibition and best disciplined school. They also came in second place for the grand march pass, and third in the best drum major category.
