Lansdowne police detectives are asking for help to identify a woman who was killed in a hit and run on Old Strandfontein Road, Ottery, on Monday May 6, at 9.50pm. According to the station’s spokesman, Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyaka, the woman had several wounds to her legs. Eyewitnesses reported that she was hit by a vehicle that failed to stop. The woman is about 30. She was wearing pink tights, a long-sleeve grey shirt and black-and-white takkies. The body was taken to Salt River mortuary, and police are investigating a culpable homicide.
