Lalela, an art educational programme, based at Disa Primary in Bonteheuwel, held a holiday programme from Monday June 17 to Wednesday June 19. The children participated in educational talks about Youth Day, created art and played games.
Marilyn November, the facilator in Bonteheuwel, spoke to the children about her experiences growing up during apartheid and the rich anti-apartheid history of the area.Jordan Booysen, 17, puts the finishing touches to his “tree-of-life” painting. The children take part in an ice-breaking exercise.
