Vlei residents clean up

Residents of the Vygieskraal informal settlement, better known as the “vlei”, together with the City of Cape Town’s health and wellness department, and ward councillor Aslam Cassiem, cleaned up the area on Thursday September 12.

Ward councillor Aslam Cassiem said the rubbish, much of its household waste, was mostly what people from other areas dumped in the vlei.
