Autism workshop

Non-profit organisation, Reading and Writing Solutions (RWS), held its 91st literacy and skills development training workshop at the Athlone Stadium Conference Hall, from Monday October 21 to Thursday October 31. Ten women graduated as reading tutors. The organisation has now trained 1 978 people in various literacy related topics at training workshops all over the Western Cape since its inception in 2013. Its fourth workshop on autism was also held at the stadium’s conference hall on Thursday October 31. It was presented by facilitators from the Vera School for Autism in Rondebosch East. From left, are, RWS founder Jeff Paulse and event organiser and deputy principal of Vera School for Autism Esmari Robertson with staff members Mo Mohamed, Robyn Palmer and Chanel Veater. More than 60 people, including teachers at special needs schools, parents and grandparents of autistic children, attended the workshop.
