Fish Hoek police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a 55-year-old Fish Hoek woman was found on the railway tracks near Clovelly on Monday. Fish Hoek police spokesman Warrant Officer Peter Middleton said her body was spotted by a train driver en route to Fish Hoek. The driver, he said, alerted members of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) at Fish Hoek station who then walked to the scene and discovered the body. It is suspected that the incident happened between 6.15am and 7.30am and it is unclear whether she was hit by a train. The matter is being investigated. Anyone with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Joe Scheepers at 021 7852714.
