A 34-year-old man was gunned down outside his home in Jonkershoek, Heideveld, on Thursday February 20.
According to Manenberg SAPS spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett, the deceased was a gang leader within the Heideveld area.
“As he approached his motor vehicle, a blue VW Polo pulled up next to him. According to eyewitnesses, two men exited the Polo and fired several shots at the victim, hitting him six times in the upper body. He collapsed next to his vehicle and succumbed to his injuries. The suspects fled the scene in the Polo,” Captain Bennett said.
A case of murder has been opened for investigation, and no arrests have been made.
