Athlone police are looking for suspects in connection with three murders at the Vygieskraal informal settlement last week.
On Wednesday April 9, police were alerted to a shooting around noon, where a 25-year-old man who belonged to the Fancy Boys gang, was fatally shot multiple times, according to Athlone police station's spokeswoman, Sergeant Zita Norman.

The next day, at 6am, Athlone police were alerted to a shooting in Canal Road, where a 35-year-old man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
On the same day another man, aged 25, was found dead outside a house in Pearl Crescent, Vygieskraal, with a gunshot wound to his leg and arm. Sergeant Norman said that the gang war was currently between the Fancy Boys and JFK gangs.
