Greenies Academia, an independent school that celebrated 25 years of education, community, and activism, hosted an event titled “Dine for Palestine: A Humanitarian Benefit in Aid of Gaza, Palestine.”
The event took place on Friday, October 10, at the Islamia College Banquet Hall and aimed to raise funds to support innocent civilians, families, and children affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Principal Sadeqah Charles said the school wanted to mark its 25th anniversary by doing something meaningful.
“As we reflected on a quarter century of nurturing minds and hearts, we chose to honour this milestone by giving back. The dinner was not only a celebration of our journey but also a show of solidarity with those suffering in Gaza,” said Ms Charles.
All proceeds from the evening went directly to humanitarian efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.
The gathering brought together community members in a night of compassion, remembrance, and solidarity with those affected by the crisis, she said.
