Greenhaven Senior Social Club (GSSC) recently hosted its annual Harvest Festival at the Orion and Genootskap Roads park on Wednesday, October 15.
With the support of community donors and club members, seniors were treated to a braai, pampering, and engaging health talks. The event aimed to encourage seniors to socialise and network, said member Saras Naidoo.
GSSC is also active in community projects. The club has hosted soup drives to support elderly residents, serving about 80 people every second week. These initiatives aim to reach as many seniors in the community as possible.
“The goal of GSSC is not only to bring seniors together but also to foster a sense of community spirit,” said Naidoo.
“We are a fun club that celebrates the seniors of our community and invites more seniors to join in the activities, contributing positively to the upliftment of less fortunate residents.”
