A man was killed following a stone-throwing incident that escalated into a shooting in Manenberg.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 2,1 at 6.15pm in Renoster Road.
Manenberg police spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett said the incident began with stone throwing in Manenberg Laan before escalating into gunfire. Three people — two men and a boy, 14 — sustained gunshot wounds. The shooting left one of the men dead.
The other victim and the boy were injured and hospitalised.
A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened for investigation, said Captain Bennett.
