Are you studying in South Africa? Are you interested in public speaking? If so, and if you are a university student (at either undergraduate or post-graduate level), good at expressing yourself and knowledgeable about South Africa, sign up for the “From University to the World” dialogue hosted by China Plus, China Radio International (CRI)’s English brand.
This year, the dialogue will be held at the University of Cape Town on Friday September 1.
At the event, selected candidates from Chinese and South African universities will discuss the future of the two BRICS nations of China and South Africa. Hosts from CRI and South African media, including community radio station Bush Radio, will chair the dialogue.
The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and other media platforms and will be aired on CRI’s domestic and overseas radio frequencies.
To participate, record a 2 to 3 minute video in English, in which your speech focuses on the theme “If I Were Chinese”, or for Chinese international students, “If I were South African”.
Winners will appear on CRI’s talk show RoundTable. For submission requirements, go to the China Plus News Facebook page, register by logging on to http://chinaplus.cri.cn/fromuniversitytotheworld/2017/RegistrationForm.docx or email Michelle Sheng at sheng_michelle@163.com for more information.
The deadline for entries is Sunday July 9.
