Silvertown clinic is operating out of this temporary facility while it is rebuilt.
The Silvertown clinic is operational again but with a limited service.
The clinic was destroyed in a fire in February last year.
According to the City of Cape Town’s mayoral committee member for community services and health, Dr Zahid Badroodien, there are plans to rebuild the clinic, but, for now, its housed in a temporary, prefabricated hut.
The satellite service at Hazendal will return to twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays; the Bridgetown hall will remain open five days a week for preventative services; and the curative services and treatment for TB and HIV will be on the Silvertown premises.
Dr Badroodien said: “I encourage residents to continue their visits and bear with us as the entire Silvertown building is now demolished and the next step will be to rebuild the clinic and reinstate it to its former glory.”
