The Cape Town Spurs – Official Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Club hosted a programme for the residents of the GH Starck Home
For The Aged in Hanover Park on Saturday January 20. The club realised the need for some time to be spent with seniors and their
effort included treating the residents to some refreshments, joining them in playing different games, giving nail treatments to some of the women and just spending time talking to them. A toiletry gift bag was also presented to each of the residents. Some of these activities were also extended to the residents who were confined to their rooms. The seniors were grateful for the time and effort spent, as shown by the smiles on their faces. The club members still feel that more should be done for seniors. They are inviting all other Cape Town-based Tottenham Hotspur supporters to join them, not only to spend time following their favourite soccer club, but also to serve the community of Cape Town, especially those who are in need of help.
