Mateen Paleker, Rylands
We are relieved that the situation has drastically changed for the better and with positive results on Hazel Road park in Rylands (“Skips causing a mess, say residents,” Athlone News, November 7).
The council has cleaned most of the area and erected a “No Dumping” sign. However, they still have more work to do, but that will be an ongoing project as there are still inconsiderate people who cannot respect the environment.
On behalf of all concerned residents around Hazel Road park, Rylands, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Athlone News for acting upon the issue regarding dumping on the park. We have our park back, and healthy activities can resume again as they should.
We would like to personally acknowledge the efforts of Hazel Allies-Husselman, regarding this issue. It was a real pleasure to work with Hazel on this matter and we would be happy to do so in the future.
