Vanessa Nelson, Hope for the Future
Our non-profit organisation, Hope for the Future, which is based in Heideveld, will be hosting our third annual matric breakfast from this week until Wednesday December 6.
We don't have a lot. In fact, we have very little to start our matric breakfast with. We need the community’s and local businesses’ help to make this year even better than last year.
We need cereal, sugar, milk, bread, fruit, juice, eggs, viennas, sauces, butter, muffins, pancakes, flour, chicken livers, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, green peppers and so much more. We also still need to hire the table cloths, overlays, centrepieces, cups, bowls, plates and cutlery etc.
If you are at home, we would appreciate it if you can come and volunteer your services and experience a breakfast fit for queens and kings. However, on a serious note, so many of our matriculants have nothing to eat in the morning, in the afternoon and much less at night too. So we want them to sit and relax, forgetting about the exams.
Like our name says, we believe in hope for the future, as we encourage and support them in their last mile towards the end by doing a little extra for them. They deserve it. We are inviting you to be part of that experience and to come and give some inspiration too.
If you can assist, contact Vanessa Nelson at 076 073 6777.
