Mark Kleinschmidt, Ward 60 councillor
I would like to extend my thanks to Emergency Medical Service paramedic trainers Rudi Stevens and Angelo Graham for arranging a two-day first-aid training course for 10 women as part of our Ward 60 outreach.
The attendees are residents from the Flamingo Heights informal settlement in Lansdowne.
The course is accredited by both UCT and Stellenbosch University, and there’s been a huge interest in it by the community. Early childhood development centres within Ward 60 will be the next group participating in the course.
It is envisaged that further courses will be held and those interested may call the Ward 60 office at 021 400 3309 or 021 762 4894, or email VeritaClaudine.Lesar@capetown.gov.za
