KIMBERLEY’S exciting flyweight prospect Mosa Ntlangula will get into the ring against contender Tshepo Mokhele in a bout over four rounds at the Flamingo Casino on Saturday in Fight Arts promotion’s R100,000 purse offering for the year.
Ntlangula returns to the square ring for his third paid fight this year. One previous fight was underwritten by Russel Bindeman’s Fight Arts Promotions while Sinazo Mofokeng’s Boxing Promotions picked up the tab for his other fight.
Saturday’s boxing festival in the Diamond City is headed by the Free State’s flyweight championship contender Tshepo Mokhele. The Free Stater returns to Kimberley for what is essentially his attempt to extend his stomping ground from the western Free State into the eastern Northern Cape in the flyweight division.
Mokhele had come off second best in his first encounter against Ntlangula. This must be a tantalising moment for Mokhele to try to even out the score and settle the issue of who is the undisputed king of the flyweights on both sides of the border.
According to promoter Russel Bindeman, this tournament will pit boxers of the Northern Cape against opponents from other provinces, and guaranteed that R100,000 in purse money will be given away in the boxing tournament.
Flamingo Casino General Manager, Themba Marasha said: “We look forward to welcoming a new line-up of fighters for another thrilling tournament and wish every one of them the best of luck.”
The list of fighters competing on Saturday evening will be available on the DFA website.
The Fight Arts Promotions boxing tournament has several new contenders in the ring.
The event starts at 3pm on Saturday November 26. Tickets will be available at R200 per person. Purchase at Webtickets.
