Bemur Gymnastics and Dance Club hosted a showcase of gymnastics and dance talent, at Athlone civic centre, at the weekend. Sunday’s showcase also featured members of the Western Cape Gymnaestrada team that will be travelling to Amsterdam for the World Gymnaestrada at the end of the month as part of the SA team. The audience got a taste of the routine they will perform in Amsterdam. Pictured are some of the participants following their performance on the mat.

This will be her seventh appearance at the World Gymnaestrada, her first being in 1975, in Berlin, in a then divided East and West Germany. She is also also the oldest member of the SA team.
