“I really enjoyed meeting all the new people over there, especially the darts players,” Leané told the DFA. “They are a super friendly group of people. I didn’t go over there specifically to go and win; I wanted to gain the experience of being able to play with all the big names in the business, so winning the mixed doubles was just a bonus for me,” she added.
Van der Walt’s journey through the competition was a mix of fierce challenges and exhilarating victories.
In the singles competition, she managed to secure eighth position, facing tough competition throughout, including a defeat against the number one player from Canada.

With her eyes set on the future, Van der Walt expressed her intentions to return to the international stage with renewed determination. “I have already put all that money to one side for next year. I cannot wait to go over there again; it is such a great opportunity,” she asserted.
