Held annually on Youth Day, June 16, this race not only commemorates a pivotal moment in South Africa's history but also fosters a sense of community and unity among its participants.

While there may be top-tier athletes competing for prizes, the essence of the event lies in the camaraderie and community spirit. Runners of all ages, from the youth to the elders, were out together to commemorate Youth Day, creating a day of unity and remembrance. The streets of Gugulethu came alive with energy and enthusiasm as participants ran side by side.

The 10km race features various activities and entertainment, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
