Having been only two years into the sport of running, Indiphile Ntshinga, 17, from Endlovini, Khayelitsha, has already risen to the level of national competition. This month, her talent will be on full display as she represents the Western Cape in the national cross-country championships taking place in Mpumalanga later this month.

Her selection follows a stunning second-place finish at the provincial championships last weekend. Indiphile's journey this year has been one of consistent excellence and a growing collection of accolades. Her cross-country season saw her capture silver medals in both the 5km and 10km events within the Western Province Athletics (WPA) junior section. She also has additional medals she secured at the WPA and Cape Metropole schools championships, as well as the Western Cape Schools Championships, where she competed in the under-17 4km race.
