Manenberg Rangers RFC unveiled their new kit at a gala function held the Beulah Centre, in Manenberg, last Friday.

Among the guests present were former Cities and Surburban Rugby Union coach Toyer Meyer, who played a key role in developing former Springbok and current deputy mayor of Cape Town, Eddie Andrews, as a youngster.

The keynote address was delivered by Pierre Hadfield on behalf of club sponsor Schmidhauser. The occasion was also used to present Noor Petersen, who'll be donning the Number 7 jumper this year, as captain for the season.

“Thank you to our exco for putting in the hard yards and behind the scene work,” said club chairman Saaid Blake.

“I honestly can't describe how thankful we are to our sponsor Schmidhauser Electrical and Plumbing for jumping on board and kitting out our 1st XV for the season,” he said.

“We know you have lots of choices when it comes to donating and we are so grateful that you chose to donate/sponsor our club, Manenberg Rangers. We are really thankful for your kind investment,” Blake said.
